Overview

Dolmabahçe Palace is a beautiful royal residence located by the Bosphorus in Istanbul. It was built between 1843 and 1856 during the rule of Sultan Abdülmecid I and later became the main office of the Ottoman Empire. The palace covers a large area of 45,000 square meters and combines both Ottoman and European architectural styles, including elements of Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical design.

The Ceremonial Hall is home for the largest Bohemian crystal chandelier in the world. Its extravagant interiors include gold-plated ceilings, detailed wooden floors, and luxurious furniture.

Dolmabahçe Palace is also historically important as the place where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, spent his last days in 1938. The palace symbolizes the final splendor of the empire and remains a significant cultural and historical site in Turkey.

A Bosphorus Cruise allows you to see Istanbul from its famous waterway, where Europe meets Asia. As you sail along the Bosphorus Strait, you'll pass by beautiful sights like Dolmabahçe Palace, Rumeli Fortress, and the impressive Bosphorus Bridge. The cruise also offers fantastic views of traditional wooden Ottoman houses (yalıs), charming waterfront neighborhoods, and the green hills alongside the strait.

The Spice Market, also called the Egyptian Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı), is one of Istanbul's liveliest and oldest markets. Located in the Eminönü district by the Golden Horn, it was built in the 17th century as part of the Yeni Mosque. The market got its name from the exotic spices from Egypt during the Ottoman Empire.

The Spice Market is busy market place, packed with vibrant stalls brimming with spices, dried fruits, nuts, teas, and Turkish delights. You can also find local favorites like honey, olive oil soaps, and fabulous handmade souvenirs.
