Kozahan is in the heart of modern Bursa city, but it is the historic silk market built in 1491 as part of the Silk Road hub. Once served as a caravanserai for merchants of the east and west, today Kozahan is a must-visit place for visitors to Bursa. You can either rest in the peaceful courtyard or hunt for sovereigns as a remembrance of Bursa. You can buy silk scarves, silk clothes, textiles, or handcrafted goods.
Inkaya village is located near Bursa and is famous for the Inkaya Tree, which is over 600 years old. Tree's huge branches provide shade and create a magical vibe. This massive tree is one of the oldest in Turkey and stands as a reminder of resilience and history.
Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel in Istanbul and drive to Bursa.
Upon arrival, we will first visit the Grand Mosque of Bursa.This mosque is a beautiful representation of Ottoman architecture and showcases the city's rich history.
We will visit the Green Mosque, an iconic landmark celebrated for its striking green and blue Iznik tiles, along with the elaborate designs and impressive calligraphy adorning the interior walls. Following that, we will explore the Green Tomb, the final resting place of Sultan Mehmed I, which stands as a remarkable masterpiece of Ottoman funerary art.
Our next stop is Kozahan, the historic silk market situated in the heart of Bursa City. With its tranquil and charming courtyards, Kozahan features shops that offer silk scarves, textiles, and handcrafted souvenirs.
